Tampa Neck Lift Surgery

neck-liftA neck lift can remove loose or sagging skin on the neck and under the chin, as well as smooth lines, creases, and wrinkles on the neck. When performed correctly by an experienced plastic surgeon, this delicate procedure can give the patient a more youthful appearance, with a firmer, more defined jaw line, and smoother skin around the neck and chin.

At the Bayside Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, highly esteemed surgeon Dr. John Roach can perform neck lift procedures for patients from Tampa, Clearwater, Trinity, Lutz, Palm Harbor, and elsewhere throughout Florida. Dr. Roach completed seven years of intensive training in general, plastic, and reconstructive surgery, and can use his in-depth knowledge and expertise to help you achieve the refreshed, youthful look you desire.

What to expect during and after your surgery:

Depending on your unique needs and wishes, your neck lift surgery can involve one or a combination of the following procedures:

  • Liposuction – the removal of excess fat from the neck and under the chin
  • Cervicoplasty – involves making small incisions either behind the ears or under the chin, and removing excess skin
  • Platysmaplasty – the realignment and tightening of the neck muscles to help smooth lines on the neck

Most patients experience bruising and swelling for about 10 days, and you can expect complete recovery three to six weeks after your neck lift surgery. Some risks include scar tissue buildup and possible puckering of the skin, though Dr. Roach performs the procedure with immense care to greatly minimize these risks.
