The newest version of the silicone gel implants feature a unique, cohesive gel filling that is similar in texture to the inside of a gummy bear. These implants are commonly referred to as “gummy bear implants” and are known to provide a more natural look and feel to augmented breasts, and are the most popular option among Dr. Roach’s patients.

Dr. Roach will also discuss the options for implant placement in relation to the pectoral muscle. Your implants can be placed beneath your pectoral muscle, on top of the muscle, or so that the implant lies partially above and partially below the muscle. This last placement option is called dual-plane breast augmentation, and may provide a more natural appearance.
