Body Contouring in Tampa, Florida
At the Bayside Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery we understand that sometimes exercise cannot conquer all. There are times when a strict diet and routine exercise can’t eliminate the excess fat in certain areas, and that’s when body contouring may be your best option.
Body contouring can be a tummy tuck procedure, liposuction, or the lifting of certain areas such as your thighs and arms. These procedures are recommended for people who are of an average weight, but are looking to add some curves or shape to their body. Body contouring can be used in a variety of areas around your body including:
- Neck
- Abdomen
- Waist
- Upper arms
- Chin
- Buttocks
- Back
- Chest area
- Calves
- Ankles
- More
What to expect during and after your procedure
Dr. Roach will create various small incisions where you want to remove fat. He will then insert a cannula—which is a straw-like tube—to eliminate the fat from that area. There are several body sculpting procedure options to choose from such as the Ultrasonic Assisted Lipoplasty, and the Tumescent Technique. Dr. Roach will help you decide which procedure is best for your needs.
You may experience swelling, bruising, and soreness after your body contouring operation. These symptoms could last up to 10 days, and it may take about six months for the swelling to disappear. As part of the liposuction recovery process, you may be required to use a compression garment for up to four weeks after your procedure.
Whether you’re in Tampa, Trinity, Carrollwood, Westchase, Palm Harbor, or elsewhere in Florida, you can count on Dr. Roach to provide you with the expert care and attention you deserve.
